1. Who we are

GuestChatty is a product of PestoAI Inc., a Delaware corporation ("PestoAI", "we", "us", "our"). GuestChatty lets hosts of short-stay properties give each listing an AI support agent that their guests chat with on WhatsApp.

This policy explains what personal information we handle, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights. It applies to hosts, co-hosts, guests and visitors to www.guestchatty.com. PestoAI is the controller of this information.

2. Information we collect

• Contact and account information: your name, email address, WhatsApp phone number, and your role on each listing (host, co-host or guest).
• Listing information: the addresses of listings, and the texts and pictures hosts and co-hosts add.
• Invitations: the email addresses hosts and co-hosts invite, and each guest's check-in and check-out.
• Conversations: the messages and pictures exchanged with GuestChatty on WhatsApp.
• Subscription and payment information: your plan and its status. Card details are collected and held by our payment processor, not by us.
• Technical information: such as when messages were sent and, on our website, your browser's language and the language you choose.

Please don't send us sensitive information, such as health information, government identity documents or card numbers.

3. How we use it

We use this information to run the Service: answering guests from their listing's information during their stay, sending invitations and sign-in codes, managing subscriptions and payments, and providing support. We also use it to keep the Service secure and prevent misuse, to improve the Service, and to comply with the law.

Where the UK or EU GDPR applies, our legal bases are the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests (running, securing and improving the Service, balanced against your rights), your consent where we ask for it, and our legal obligations.

4. AI answers

Answers are generated by artificial intelligence from the listing's information and the conversation. They can be wrong, so check anything important with your host. We do not use AI to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. We do not use your information to train general purpose AI models.

5. Who we share it with

• The people on a listing: a listing's information is shared with the guests and co-hosts invited to it. A guest gets answers only during their stay, and hosts and co-hosts can see who is invited.
• Service providers that host, run and support the Service, including messaging, email, AI processing and payment providers. They are bound by contract to use the information only to provide their services to us.
• WhatsApp, which carries the conversations under its own terms and privacy policy.
• Professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it or to protect rights and safety.
• A successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with this policy continuing to apply.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

6. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal information from the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep it

• While your account is active.
• A guest's access to a listing ends at their check-out, and their invitation is removed after it.
• When you delete your account, or a host removes a listing's AI support agent, its information is deleted, except where the law requires us to keep records, such as billing records for tax purposes.
• Backups may keep deleted information for a limited time before they are overwritten.

8. Security

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit and at rest, and access controls. No system is completely secure.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw your consent.

You can delete your account at any time by saying "Delete my account" in the GuestChatty chat, or by emailing support@guestchatty.com. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you may also complain to your local supervisory authority. We respond within the time the law allows.

10. Cookies and storage

Our website keeps only what it needs to work: the language you choose, in your browser's storage and in a cookie. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

11. Children

GuestChatty is not directed at children. Hosts and co-hosts must be 18 or older, and hosts should not invite children under 16 as guests.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify hosts.

5. Con chi li condividiamo

• Le persone di un alloggio: le informazioni di un alloggio sono condivise con gli ospiti e i co-host invitati. Un ospite riceve risposte solo durante il soggiorno, e host e co-host possono vedere chi è invitato.
• Fornitori di servizi che ospitano, gestiscono e supportano il Servizio, inclusi fornitori di messaggistica, email, elaborazione AI e pagamenti. Sono vincolati per contratto a usare i dati solo per fornirci i loro servizi.
• WhatsApp, che trasmette le conversazioni secondo i propri termini e la propria informativa sulla privacy.

11. Minori

GuestChatty non è destinato ai minori. Host e co-host devono avere almeno 18 anni, e gli host non dovrebbero invitare come ospiti minori di 16 anni.

Possiamo aggiornare questa informativa. In tal caso modificheremo la data di entrata in vigore indicata sopra e, per le modifiche importanti, avviseremo gli host.
